SEASON OF LENT
Season of Lent will begin on Wednesday February 17, 2026.
The Lent devotional (Lent for Everyone: Luke, Year C by NT Wright) and the guide is available on the website to help the 40 days of Lent be a deep-spirited and meaningful journey for the EIKON church community.
There will also be a time of community prayer on Mondays at 6AM where we will assign the time of the day to pray together in our own homes. Here is the prayer schedule:
Feb 23 – WISDOM (Luke 2:22-32)
Mar 2 – LISTEN (Luke 7:11-17)
Mar 9 – EXCUSES (Luke 9:57-62)
Mar 16 – PATIENCE (Luke 12:35-40)
Mar 23 – COMPASSION (Luke 17:11-19)
Mar 30 – WEAKNESS (Luke 22:54-65)
2025 TAX RECEIPTS
If you have an offering number, the tax receipts will be sent this week. You will receive an email but if you have any questions please contact info@eikonchurch.ca If you do not have an offering and you donated in 2025 and would like to receive a tax receipt please contact info@eikonchurch.ca
SUNDAY SERVICE FEB 22 & MAR 1 ROOM CHANGE
GCC will be holding a special retirement service for Pastor Park on Sunday February 22 and an installation service for Pastor Sang, on Sunday March 1, so the GCC service will be held in the Main Chapel for those Sundays. Therefore, here are some important considerations for that day:
EIKON Sunday Service will be held in Vision Hall @ 12pm (usual time).
It is a much smaller hall so please be prepared that it all seats will be used.
There will be limited stroller space.
Live-streaming will still be available.
The parking lots will also be very busy and fill up fast due to the special GCC service, please give yourself ample time to arrive for 12pm.

Lauren and Johnny welcomed their first child, a son, named Leo Ryu on Tuesday February 10.

WHY WE EXIST
Jesus is the perfect image (eikon) of the invisible God.
Jesus is also the perfect image (eikon) of what it means to be human and to be in perfect relationship with the Father.
We as the church are called to fulfill our identity as those made in the image (eikon) of God.
Because of Jesus, the perfect eikon and human, this identity is being redeemed
and fulfilled in the midst of many broken eikons.
The fulfillment of this identity is the outworking of God’s salvation into every area of creation.
